We are the Covington Street Hockey League, operated by Hockey for Covington, LLC. We are currently operating with The Center for Great Neighborhoods as our fiscal agent.

Mission Statement

HfC and CSHL strive to enrich the lives of those around us through community engagement, park improvements, and cultural events.

To become a better member, they must accept personal responsibility for their development. Demanding more of themselves:

CSHL – League Goals

a. Raise $100k to build a multi-purpose court in Covington by March ‘19.

b. Raise $100K to create an avenue for at-risk kids to bond with the community and grow to thrive by December ‘19.

c. Raise$75k to create a dog park in Goebel Park as a destination for the area by December ‘20.

d. Raise $25k to improve the swimming pool at Goebel Park and give it more acclaim June ‘20.

e. Raise as much money as we can to improve the quality of life for Tri-state residents and visitors by creating safe-spots for the community to gather, engage, and have fun.

i. Lights, benches,safety measures, trash bins, etc.

f. Create a social media presence to promote the community, league, fun, and income.

g. Partner with community organizations, businesses, and leaders for cyclical improvement of goals.

We started with a few guys who wanted to play hockey and have grown into a motivated group of men and women who want to improve this great city. Our vision is to build positive community connections in Covington through the game of hockey. Also, we have plans for wide-scale developments in Covington parks to improve the quality of life for all residents. We are engaging people of all economic and social backgrounds. Our current fundraising goal is$100k for the improvement of Kenney Shields Park, the southernmost extension of Goebel Park in Mainstrasse.

We are an extremely motivated group of talented individuals, and our opportunities extend beyond the Covington parks; we want to improve the city to the best of our abilities. We are currently seeking donations for these projects! Donations can be made via The Center for Great Neighborhoods. The Center is a non-profit community development corporation which works with residents to improve the quality of life in their community. Because The Center is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization under the laws of the Internal Revenue Service, any donation you make will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Upon receipt of your donation, you will receive a letter from The Center as a record of your contribution. Please make checks out to “The Center for Great Neighborhoods of Covington” with “Hockey for Covington” in the memo line.
